Dana and Jeremy's Wedding Information

September 27, 2003

How we met:

Jeremy and Dana met during college at Georgia Tech, where they both rowed competitively for the Georgia Tech Crew team.  They started dating after becoming best friends.  After graduating from Tech, Jeremy took a job working for Motorola in West Palm Beach and Dana "landed" a dream job of working on NASA's space shuttle.  Jeremy has recently moved up to Cape Canaveral, near Dana, to work at DRS Tactical Systems designing military computers. They have built a new beach town home in Cape Canaveral, which is currently Jeremy's short-lived bachelor pad.

On New Years Day (1/1/03) Jeremy and Dana went for a long walk on Cape Canaveral beach, just before sunset.  After about an hour of walking, Jeremy jumped onto one knee and popped the question.....and of course, Dana immediately accepted.

Wedding Party:

Matron of Honor:

Marlene McAlhany -  Bride's sister (in-law) - Marlene has been Dana's big sister through thick and thin in her life.  Trip and Marlene have taken care of her while growing up.  Not to mention, Dana (and Jeremy) now have a cutie-patootie nephew.

Bridesmaids:

Lisa Allen -  Dana met Lisa while working at United Space Alliance.  Lisa taught Dana "the ropes" around the space center, including the dreaded Otis Spunkmeyer cookies

Whitney Hopkins Appenfelder -  Whitney has been Dana's best friend since middle school.  Although they have spent the majority of our time miles apart, still seems like yesterday when they had matching outfits heading off to Youth Camp.

Shelly Holdren -  Dana met Shelly while rowing at Georgia Tech.  Shelly was Dana's roommate and mentor to Dana while at Georgia Tech.  They must be the only two people that can have such great fun doing "nothing".

Liz Pattison -  Liz has been Dana's roommate for the last few years.  Dana ended up with a great roommate after one whimsical day when she ran into Liz at the gym and told her to move in.  The beach has definitely been great to them!

Laura Segarra -  Laura is Dana's current cube mate, in the wonderful "cubeville" of Structure Engineering.  Laura has taught Dana important things in life. .. . paper ball fights.  Laura and Dana have definitely become quite the crafty engineers over the past year.

Best Man:

George Hutcherson - (Jeremy's dad) -  A great dad, that has truly taught Jeremy how to be a Rube Goldberg expert.

Groomsmen:

Josh Dahlhauser -  Friend of groom since high school – Josh and Jeremy were roommates for a year at Georgia Tech.

Scott Gassel -  Friend of groom since elementary school – Scott has been a great friend to Jeremy since the days when they wore Jams’ shorts and Yellow Converse All Stars.

Geoff Hutcherson -  Brother of groom – Geoff is Jeremy's big brother that was always beating up on him....but he still loves him like a brother.

Jimmy Stockham -  Friend of groom since middle school – Jeremy and Jimmy have been great friends since the old school pranking days.

Chris Woody -  Friend of groom since high school - Chris, the quiet old man,  has been a good friend to Jeremy and is also a member of the "old school" clan.
